EF66-100-th Late Type was made of 33 cars from 1989 to increase the train to response to the increase of cargo transportation demand after the privatization of JNR.
The basic performance was same as EF66-th 0 th, but the head and tail lights were arranged lado a lado under the front window, and the painting became JR standard color, so the appearance of EF66-th 0 th was greatly changed.
After the appearance of EF210 th, the head and tail lights were changed to square, and the painting became JR standard color.
