Entered the Tokyo University of Fine Arts in 1984.
While enrolled in the university, he studied under a scholarship program (87-88) at the Architectural School of the Royal College of Fine Arts, Denmark.
After graduating from the College of Arts in 1989, he worked at A. T. System Co., Ltd. and experienced a wide range of planning, design, and on-site work from urban planning to store interiors.
Opened the Architectural Office of Etsuro Tetsuya in 1994.
Returned to the Graduate School of Tokyo University of Fine Arts in 1996 while continuing the office.
