Born in New Jersey, U.S.A. in 1927.
Worked at the U.S. Air Force after graduating from the University of Michigan.
After coming to Japan as a civilian employee of the U.S. Forces stationed in Japan in 1956, he stayed in Japan and visited every part of the country.
Photographed many interesting railway photographs.
Photographed a wide range of subjects including JNR, major private railway companies, local private railway companies, streetcars, light railway companies, Takushoku railway companies and forest railway companies.
