Born in Missouri, USA.
Received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Truman State University at the same time.
Later studied computer graphics at Ohio State University and received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
After graduation, worked for several Silicon Valley companies, including Apple as a co-developer of iPhoto? and DreamWorks Animation as a producer of the 『 Antz 』 film and 『 Schleck 』 film.
