Product Description The Endeavor (OV-105) is the last of six space shuttles manufactured by Rockwell International. Its manufacture was approved by the U.S. Congress in 1987. It was manufactured as a replacement for the Challenger lost in the tragic 1986 launch incident. It also has a high percentage of Japanese astronauts, Mamoru Mohri, Koichi Wakata and Takao Doi, who boarded the Endeavor. During its 20-year term, the Endeavor achieved the feat of making 25 flights into space.
It was retired in May 2011 and will be exhibited at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
SpaceDragonWings modeled the Endeavor from STS-88 (the first flight mission of the Space Shuttle Endeavour to build the International Space Station). It faithfully reproduces the fuel tank and booster as well as the orbiter. It also includes an upright display stand. Please enjoy the Endeavor that has accomplished a great work on the desk.
