This is a 3D printed model of the KF-21N, an airborne fighter model of the KF-21 Boramae, a next-generation stealth general-purpose fighter under development by the ROK.
The KF-21Boramae is a 4.5 generation fighter model under development by KAI as the KF-X, the next major fighter model of the ROK Air Force. KAI owns the CVX, an aircraft carrier under planning by the ROK Navy, and is able to develop the KF-21N, an airborne fighter model, within a few years. The scale model is exhibited at DX Korea 2022 Expo in 2022.
Thanks to its advanced 3D printing technology, form of the KF-21 is reproduced slightly larger than that of the KF-21. It also accurately reproduces the main wing with folding outer wings and nose legs with double tires and catapult spreaders. The number of parts is also reduced as much as possible for assembly.
The undercarriage includes a selection of flight and landing conditions, a pilot figure seated in the cockpit, and an optional nose-test probe.
The military accessories include Meteor and IRIS-T air-to-air missiles, aiming pods, air-to-ship missiles -II, and fuel tanks. Decals include a model display and two models for actual deployment, and a pre-cut masking sheet for painting a canopy, etc.
