[Comments on CD Recordings]
This is a gorgeous "New World" that is characteristic of Ormandy. It is rare that he directs the London Echo, not the Philly Tube. It powerfully depicts the overflowing passion and colors it with a polished sound. There is no choice but to admire of directing music perfectly. It is the best recording left by a master.
[Comments on CD Recordings]
This is the third of four kinds of recordings and is the only one that Ormandy directed the London Echo. It is also the only official recording. It shows the elegance of Ormandy's orchestral control during the maturity period.
