[CD-Audition Comment]
This is a very enthusiastic performance. Zimmermann can boldly move the tempo, emphasize his left hand, and express a wide range of things. Yet he never produces a cloudy sound, and yet he is once again amazed at his skill. Bernstein's accompaniment is also remarkable.
[Comment on CD-Introduction]
This is one of the "Symphony with a Piano", which was planned to commemorate the 80 th anniversary of Bernstein's birth <>. The rich sound of the Vienna Philharmonic matches well with this song.
