Yoko Hasegawa recorded US and British cello works. The concertos by Barber, who has few opportunities to perform, is a lively work with a modern taste. Delius is a beautiful small piece. Along with Elgar's famous songs, Hasegawa performs deep music with warm tones. Also shows good support from Tatsuya Shimono.
[New CD Commentary]
This album commemorates the 100th anniversary of Barber's birth. It combines Barber's cello concertos, which you rarely listen to, with the concertos by Elgar, which is popular, so you can enjoy famous cello concertos from the modern era. It is one of Yoko Hasegawa's all-out films.
